Spooky Pooch - Volunteers Needed!

On October 16, 2010 LakewoodAlive will once again be hosting the 3rd Annual Spooky Pooch Parade in Downtown Lakewood. Last year over 200 dogs and 500 owners from around the region participated in the parade and over 2,000 parade viewers lined the street.

If you missed it, you missed a fun event that had all who attended smiling and giggling. We hope to have double the attendance this year. So, as you can imagine we will need and welcome the help of many volunteers for the “Day of” this fun community event. We will need help with the following:

* Check in and Registration tables
* Photographing attendees after they register (we will upload the pictures to our website/facebook for viewing by attendees)
* Help with lining the attendees up for the parade
* Help with guiding the attendees through the parade route and turn around.
* Help with the coordinating winners through the parade awards ceremony, raffle drawing and coloring contest awards.
* Selling Raffle Tickets
* Truck to pick up and return tables from local church/school.

* Help with distributing flier/posters for the event around Lakewood and the west side of Cleveland. THIS HELP IS NEEDED IMMEDIATELY over the next two weeks.

Vendors will begin setting up at 11:30 a.m. and the event will begin at 12:30 with registration and check in; the parade will line up at 1:45 and step off at 2:00 p.m. and conclude with the awards ceremony at 3:00 p.m. (until about 3:30 p.m.)

If you have a couple hours to help out please contact me with your availability and if you have a specific task you are interested in performing.

I look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to pass this on to your friends or neighbors that might be interested in helping out as well. The website for additional information is: www.downtownlakewood.org.
